Free Whisky Tasting with Morrison & MacKay

May 2 @ 11:00 am - 4:00 pm

Meet Graeme MacKay from Carn Mor at the Whisky Castle for a free open tasting of whisky throughout the day.

We are delighted that Graeme MacKay from Morrison and MacKay will be spending the day with us hosting tastings for our visitors, showcasing the vast and unique range of bottlings he supplies to the Whisky Castle.

Graeme is renowned throughout the industry for his continued development and promotion of Morrison and MacKay’s brands and he possesses an expert technical knowledge of the whisky making process from barley, water and yeast to the bottled product on the shelf.

During his open tasting, Graeme will be offering tastings from the exceptional Carn Mor Strictly Limited range, all of which are non-chill filtered and naturally coloured.

Graeme will also be hosting a tasting masterclass with us in the evening which will offer an in depth and fully tutored tasting of some of the Carn Mor range.

When you visit us, you can complement your tasting experience by enjoying our cosy cafe for a snack or light lunch and browse a wide selection of Scottish gifts, foods, toys, clothing and unique jewellery. There is something to suit the whole family.

Our open tastings offer an opportunity to learn about and enjoy what some of our finest malts have to offer and how best to enjoy them. They will benefit whisky novices and experts alike. Please be aware that our tasting events are for over 18’s only.

We would ask that groups of 10 or more call ahead and book a slot on 01807 580213. Please note programming and hosts may be subject to change.

To book tickets, visit, call us on 01807 580213 or pop into The Whisky Castle.
