Project Lead: TGLP and community partners
What is the project?
This project will encourage people to learn about the links between landscape, heritage, song by keeping alive traditional songs and tunes and creating new music that link people to their landscape and heritage.
What will the project achieve?
- Workshop sessions delivered by professional musician (fiddle workshops) and song tutors (traditional song workshops for primary schools).
- A greater awareness of the local music heritage, more people able to play the fiddle and more people able to compose new tunes and song based on traditional music heritage.
- Selected songs and traditional tune recordings added to Digital Archive – available on line and for other creative end uses.
What has been done so far?
- This project will commence in summer 2018.
