Ruthven Farm
Ruthven Farm, winner of 2016 Cairngorms Nature Farm and 2017 RSPB Nature of Scotland Award (food and farming category), offer evening farm nature walks tailored to your interests, age and fitness. See our rich population of wildlife, as well as our cattle and sheep. Waders are particularly numerous here, this being an important breeding area. Experience the incredible courtship display of the snipe, known as “drumming”, or maybe catch a glimpse of the otters in the river. We have planted 4.5km of hedgerows and 10 acres of woodlands, and created ponds and wader scrapes, so there is never a shortage of something to discover.
